Anyone have a Ogg file crash the audio out of the Empeg? I just ripped some OGG files at very high quality (VBR). When ever the player get's to them, it loads the track information, then just sitts at the beggining of the song (on the Track meeter). When I switch to a MP3 or WMA the same thing happens. If I power down the unit, then re-power it up, as long as a MP3 or WMA was the saved song, it starts playing normally again.

I'm having same exact problem. Out of curiousity what encoder did you use? I used the built-in Vorbis DLL encoder in CDex and I'm wondering if that's the culprit. What encoder do people use for Ogg that works on the empeg?

I used Advanced WMA Workshop which has .ogg output settings. I don't know what encoder they use inside of the program, or if they wrote their own.

Ok I just tried using EAC and oggenc and the Empeg refuses to play the files. I also tried CDex with the libvorbis DLL- no luck. Is Oggdrop the only encoder that works? (I haven't tried this one yet).
