Given the first piece of advice I always see anytime a player gets stolen, doesn't this seem a tiny bit amusing and ironic?
Well, if anyone has an adequate supply of backup empegs, it'd have to be hugo.
Any pictures of the remote display in the gauge cluster?

There may be spares, but perhaps someone would want to try to grab his specifically for any "enhancements" that were made...

Given the first piece of advice I always see anytime a player gets stolen, doesn't this seem a tiny bit amusing and ironic? He's driving a Noble M12 GTO 3R. If someone breaks in, they're taking the whole car...might as well leave the player in.

Hoegaarden kicks ass
Did you have regular Hoegaarden (white beer) or Hoegaarden Crand Cru (really strong stuff)?
They're quite different.

I didn't stay long enough to have beer there, but that must have been "witbier".
There are other white beers, like Wieckse Witte and Dentergems. Personally,
I think Dentergems is the best in its category.

SWMBO & I will be in London for a week before Amersfoort, if anyone wants to get together for some malt or whatever. But she's decided you lot (us lot?) are too geeky for her, so she's heading home again while I hop over to the meet.

Us? Geeky?
How could she possibly think such a thing!
Doesn't everybody put $1500 computers in their cars to play MP3-encoded music?

Weissbier ?
I can strongly recommend Weissbier from Schneider und sohn, and ofcourse "Erdinger hefe hell". But my alltime favorite is weissbier from the Neckar müller in Tübingen, just south of Stuttgart - its brewed in the bar!

Weissbier?
Weissbier is good too, but there's quite a distinction between Belgian witbier
and German Weissbier. Witbier has a distinct sour taste, where as Weissbier
tastes more like regular beer. That's probably because the Belgians can put
all the chemicals in it they like, while German beer has to conform to the
Reinheitsgebot.

Are these dates set in stone now? I'm about to book the ferry tickets ...and bugger me they're expensive.
It looks like SWMBO and her best friend will be coming too. Although they'll probably only hang around for the BBQ and ribs. I think the opporunity to explore the 'dam and get completely mullered is too good to pass up.
That does mean there's a seat available from Manchester down the M62 to Hull. I don't know wether Steve will be able to make it this year as he's likely to be down in Devon at the time.

I'd admit there is a big difference between Witbier and Weissbier - If i have the choice, i'd go for a Wiessbier. It's the only beer type i can continue to drink on and on for a whole days without getting tired of it.

I just repeat my offer - my place is in the center of Amsterdam, and I can accommodate a couple in the guest room, and 2 or 3 people in the library/movie room if needed...

What about Burgess and MacLean? When I was a student, the Heffers bookshop next-door to Trinity -- and thus just yards from the room in Whewell's Court where Philby, Burgess, MacLean and Blunt used to meet -- had, in the window, a pile of copies of a book called "The KGB -- The Inside Story". Propped up against it was a little card, "Local Author".

At this point I feel bound to reveal that my Uncle was a contemporary of theirs, and thought them to be nice guys, my cousins have a photo of him with them, at a fairly drunken occasion. My Uncle spent his career in the foreign office.
There but for fortune, I could be pushing for a Moscow Empeg Mini Meet!
