Just received my empeg a minute ago, 2 days sooner actually than i expected. Great job empeg.
There's one thing i immediately noticed though. A moving part(s) inside the empeg.
After taking a look through the holes on top of the unit, i noticed that a IDE cable is moving up and down. (only up and down, not to the left or right)
The unit seems to work fine though, uploaded a couple of songs already.
When carefully and slowly turning the unit, i was able to make a distinguish between two different noises.
The first beeing the IDE cable with a rather dull noise, the second ocurrs a fraction of a second and a few degrees later and is rather a high click and doesnt sound like an IDE cable at all.
Is this something i should worry about ?
Thanks.

RATTLE NOISE IS NORMAL

All the toshibas do that ... It gets really hairy when you find one of your 1st line support people has completely stripped apart a laptop to find that 'screw' they lost in it when they changed the harddisk ...

Cheers,
Hans

Count in the IBM ones as well. I had an old Olivetti coming into my office with a crashed harddrive, and when i received the replacement disc i thought it was crashed on delivery :-)) - atleast it sounded like something had come loose on the inside.. Anyway it worked and everyone is happy?!

Kaare.
