Hello,

Can I prepare a new HDD on my backup device and install it after the preparation in my first device? Are there anything I have to pay attention for this upgrade? Both are MK2 devices.

Thanks for the help in advance.

As long as they are both Mark2 or 2a model players, you should be able to mix and match however you like. I have done it a few times.

Thanks..

This means I have to have two devices with the same revision! So I can't mix Mk2 with an MK2a? I understand, that I can't mix an Mk1 with an Mk2 or MK2a.

Thanks Melkon

No, you should be able to mix and match 2s and 2As. There would be no difference with disk preparation, unless you are building a vary large drive (80GB) on a Mark2 with 12MB of RAM. You *might* run into trouble with that.
