I read the FAQ's but this was mentioned:

When using the Rio remote, with a new battery, the response from the HU is lagged. For example, when doing a search for a particular song I will go through the required button presses. The initial press brings a response immediately from the player. However, subsequent presses experience a lag of as much as 10 seconds, witht the player finally not responding at all!

Any ideas?

Ed

Do you only get delays while searching, or during other things also?

I've been having a problem where a lot of button presses seem to get dropped, even with a new battery, but I think you're describing something else... and I just want to be sure of that.

Something fishy is happening on the serial port. Please post the config.ini file you are using.

While I have done some work via Hyperterminal, I don't beleive i have ever fiddled with config.ini. I will have to post it later when i have a chance, but what should i be looking for when i run it?

Just open up the config.ini in Emplode and paste it here. You need to do this first.
