Hi,

The last line of the output from "cat /proc/empeg_id" on my mk2 is "drives: 7". I haven't opened up the player, but I really doubt there are 7 drives inside. What is this line supposed to mean? Looking at the kernel source, it's printing the same value as "hwrev"...

Wild guess: That probably refers to the number of partitions?

Nope. It's a bug. The kernel source is printing the hwrev value into the buffer, rather than anything vaguely sensible.

It's in arch/arm/special/empeg_proc.c, in case you're interested.

Roger - not necessarily speaking for empeg

It's only a bug because it's a half (ok, about 1/32nd) implemented feature :)
