Has there been any recent news on the next release of tRIO that will support wireless networking via a bridge? I found the thread that mentions this being fixed in the next release, and that there are a couple of testers using it, but found no mention of any recent progress.

Just curious...Thanks!

Paul is definately actively working on it and the latest release I have is 5-9-04. I've been using it since then and it seems to be the most stable release yet although it is still a bit quirky at times both wired and wirelessly but with a little fiddling it seems to work properly again.

I just ordered 2 DWL-800s (refurb, $27 from Computer Geeks). I expect to try the 810 patch on one for use as a bridge with my DAR, so I am now interested in wireless too!

So, where do you get the 09-May-2004 release? The most current thing on Sourceforge is from 25-Oct-2003. I'd love to be testing fresher code

Well... it's not out for general consumption yet so you would need to get it from pauln

It is a *little* buggy though...

It works! I have 2 DWL-800AP+ (HW version A1) with the hacked firmware (read this: http://www.seattlewireless.net/index.cgi/dwl800ap_2bhack) which makes them into a bridge.

After performing the typical configuration (setting WEP, etc) I plugged into a Dell and it works! Wireless music in the backyard this summer, cool.

No port speed or DHCP problems. Maybe I'm just lucky.

That's awesome... Based on my usage the wireless seems to work just as well as the wired BUT I do hit glitches every now and then but I believe a lot has to do with the fact that 80% of my mp3's are 320kbps. I don't experience problems with the tunes ripped at 192kbps but 320 is a different story. I also seem to run into problems when more than one receiver is streaming the same internet radio station for an extended period of time (basically the station no longer plays). But if I restart trio it seems to correct.
