I'm in the process of making some Aluminum fascias. They would look just like the stock fascia pretty much.
Would anyone be interested? The price would be much lower than 303's. I figure with keeping the stock design the new translucent buttons will work together.
Please post here if you would be interested. I need to figure out how many I should make as this will likely be a 1 time thing.

Interested - dependent on price. 303's were just a bit out of my price range.

I'll take two, if they are the same design as the stock face, don't like all these odd designs people have come up with as an alternative (which is odd because I'm pretty sure I didn't like the Mk2 face when Rob revealed it).

I am interested in brushed and black anodized. Depending on price, I would probably be getting multiple of each.
Any thoughts on price? I know that B. had made significant progress in getting a batch made, but his machinist was not able to continue without large sums of cash up front.

Think how cool this would look with an aluminum handle, clear lens, and a set of "Crystal Buttons"!! Or heck, get the Crystal Buttons and paint them silver!
About the directional button openings of the fascia: If memory serves me, they are angled ever so slightly to keep the buttons from coming out. And they probably have to be *just* right to let the buttons fit. Good luck.
I may take one, just for the shineyness of it all. A picture would convince me.

What would a black anodized fascia look like?Isn't that the same look as the original color?

Definitely interested in a brushed aluminum, hopefully with handle. I may go for a black anodized too depending on price and availability.

Actually, if you could make metal buttons, too, that'd be extra cool.

It would be cool if you could make them to accept the Mark 1 style buttons. Farnell has them in clear. Oddly, their American sister company, Newarkinone, doesn't carry them. Farnell does have teardrop shaped buttons in translucent colours.
Has anyone ever done an illuminated Mark 1?

Update,
I plan to do this at the company I work for. Right now were behind 3 weeks on orders so its going to be atleast 2-3 weeks before anything can be done. I hope to have some finished within a month and ready to ship. Pricing isn't set in stone yet as I'm still negotiating with my workplace. The price will defintely be much lower than 303's though.
Black anodizing will be available at extra cost. Not sure exactly how much extra.
Matching buttons will be attempted after I see how the fascia goes first. I've already thought about how sweet matching buttons would look though!!

I'd buy metal buttons too, if they fit the tsock fascia. Chrome would be great. Also, depending on price, I may buy some metal fascias as well.

Is it possible to drill some holes around perimeter of the knob and fill them with clear epoxy for the lighting kit?

As Rob mentioned, for both the original knob and the metal knob pictured above, yes. I like end glow fiber instead of epoxy though as it transmits light much better
