It has been awhile since I have looked around the boards here. I put a larger drive in my player, and everything went well. Only problem is that I lost my VolAdjust installation. Now that top down weather is here again, I really want to put it back. I'm looking for the easiest method for installing it. I seem to remember that there were a few different ways to get it onto the empeg, I just want the simplest.

Also, I was just curious as to what is new in the community. It looks as though there are a few products, upgrades, enhancments, etc. Wondering what is out there now.

I'd just install Hijack. There's voladjust and loads of other stuff too.

How long have you been away? You may need to upgrade to 2.00final as well.

Except for checking about the new drive installation, it has been years since I regularly visited. My earlier memories are of waiting in the que!

I have some version of 2.0, but not sure which. Is there anything to make that a worthwhile upgrade?

The simplest way to get "vol adjust" is to use Tony's Logo editor to install the Hijack kernel onto your player.

Once installed, Hijack has a menu system accessible by pressing and holding the knob for 2-3 seconds. Automatic Volume Adjust is on the menu, and can be tweaked to suit.

I should be working on the software list, and I really really will sometime in the not so soon future.

On the hardware end: Patrick made 64 meg memory boards, I'm making translucent buttons, webroach is making metal fascias, robric is remaking sleds, and Patrick remade tuner modules, but I'm not sure if any more are available, but it's worth a try.

You probaly know Eutronix does USA repairs, lighting installs, knob replacements, digital out board installs, etc etc and soon, memory board installs. And Filener is our very legitimate colored lens supplier, with a bunch of cool products.

Oh, and there's an upcoming Amersfoort 2005 Euro meet as well as the not-really Cincinnati meet.

And tons of cool software. But I don't know much about it... yet.
