I'm looking for a word to label my 'album' tree. It's just not perfect. My master list is split across musicals, audiobooks, and ...? It's not just albums or cd's. Musicals are music and songs too. See the problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Douglas

Well, there's always my favorite category, "other" DiGNAN
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, etc.

Well, you don't have a lot of subdivisions off of Root, do you?
I have AudioBooks, Classical, Comedy, Demonstration, Favorites, IASCA, Marches, Mood, Musicals, and Rock.
Can you be more descriptive about the contents of your "?" group? That would help in finding a word that is descriptive yet not completely generic.

My 'master list' isn't supposed to be the root. (It is, but that's just because I'm too lazy to make theme lists.) The master tree should just be where all files are initially added. All other lists would then be symlinks.
The category I need a word for contains -music-. Billy Joel, Tori Amos, Enya. Songs. But musicals are music, and songs as well. You have classical, marches, and rock - all of which I would file under this mystery category.
Right now "?" is "Albums", but that's inaccurate, and irks me. So does 'Artist', which is what "?" really has as its next layer of grouping.

Called mine "misc", too, but later changed it to "Diverse"... "Various" may be also possible...

All ideas appreciated, but nothing in the right vein yet. I'm looking for some sort of precision. Lumping 90% of my .MP3's under 'misc' or 'stuff' seems silly.
Surely there's a specific word for what bands do that distinguishes it from showtunes... Lightbulb! "Bands" comes closer to what I want.. I'm still looking for a rabid thesaurus to attack the board, though.

Sigh... even after attending the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, you can't spell Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious correctly.
What do they teach you Canadians, anyhow?
