No such luck with that Paul and I have attached another hyperterm capture upon the reboot.

Marking thread as having a new post...

By the way, did you initialize the dynamic data partition also? That would have been this command: "dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hdc3". Just checking.

Cool!!! No worries. Glad I could help!

Roger - if you are reading this, one thing though is that the notes assume that you are always working with the second drive / drive1 / hdc... EXCEPT for the directory creation step, which for some reason assumes the first drive, with a note below saying you might need drive1. You might want to swap this, so that the file is internally consistent. A thought...

Done. What I've done is to change the instructions so that it assumes you're doing this to the second drive in an empeg. This seems to be the commonest case.

If you're doing something else (like partitioning and formatting with the new disk plugged into your PC), I've assumed you're smart enough to alter the instructions accordingly.

I do not see any errors at all but when I run emplode it only see's the 20 gb hdd.

If I recall correctly, emplode never sees hdds. It only sees used/free capacity.

What *exactly* indicates to you that there might be a problem?

EDIT: never mind.. I see the problem was resolved already!

Cheers
