Ok. I downloaded, ran and installed this last night.

When I look in Adept, it says *everything* is installed. Gcc the lot, which they arent.

If I try the "apt-get install build-essential" it tells me that there is no package named build essential!

What has gone wrong?!

I give up. Quite frankly, not impressed.

I rebooted from the CD, checked internet and everything was working, hit install.....

...it installed and threw up an error about not being able to access the security updates. Rebooted after the fresh install, started adept and all of the repositories were commented out. Created a new one for the UK from some website and it still doesn't work.

My only guess is that apt-get doesn't like my wireless bridge. Time to install fedora which at least I know works.
