You're not alone! My company blocked it as well. I really need to run DSL to my cube to get past it...

I wonder if it blocks the IP address or just the domain name.

Try replacing "www.break.com" with "72.32.5.117:80".

I think www.break.com has a lot of dodgy videos.

Break.com typically has adult oriented adverts. Or... it used to, before I installed adblock.

I had originally seen this on Make. Hopefully that site doesn't have any nudity

Aha! My next bored evening project Thanks.

Got lots of stainless and aluminium tubing, and plenty of speakers. And propane. Don't forget the propane.

You should see the potato cannon...

Unrealistically cool! I must have that at my next house party. Um, well, I must clean my house for parties then become social to have friends for a party. But when that's done, the flame tube will be there!!

Quite cool, but on the wrong scale

I just bought a 12 way solenoid valve for the next generation of this:

http://www.carxk.co.uk/links/aaa.avi
http://www.carxk.co.uk/links/aab.avi
http://www.carxk.co.uk/links/aac.avi

(From last year's bonfire night party, burners courtesy of our resident pyromaniac).

I'm thinking 6m wide FFT with 3m flames - should suffice for now!

How come when I had to investigate standing waves I only got to use a piece of string? There's no justice.

My Physics of Acoustics professor last semester did this in class, but he did it BIG. Even though his primary research area is turbulence waves in plasma, it was still enough to make me a little nervous. Almost too big. I was actually able to convince him to run some Brujeria ("Mexican" death metal) through it...

Sadly, no. If I had known we were doing it that day, I might have brought a video camera. But it wasn't specifically announced. It was simply a matter of hooking up my iPod to the input. But I do have to say that fire and Mexican death metal somehow just seems like a combination that's RIGHT.
