Actually, that would be a GREAT reason why to take Empeg home from the car (to prevent it being thieved at the very first day) .. an alarm-clock. Perfect.

And it would also be a good reason to open your eyes - just to look at the display!
And the alarm should get louder every few seconds to wake up people like me :-)).

Aye, traditional clocks won't wake me up anymore. This morning my girlfriend said it had rang for about 4 minutes until she finally had to silence it - I was still sound asleep ;)

Maybe an Empeg playing my favourite (or less favourite) tune would wake me up better:)

maybe a bedroom unit which it plugs into could have things like sprung boxing gloves that shoot out of a cupboard or a gong pops out and is clanged with great vigour.....

Is there a method of accessing the internal clock?

Also there needs to be a method of setting the alarm easily & preferably from the front panel. Seems like a bit of business to take it to your computer to change the setting to a half hour earlier.

I use that to WOL my PC attached to the 27 inch monitor I have. It has the ATI TV Software in startup, and the Dishplayer is set to tune to either TechLive on TechTV or Headlien News around the time the PC is being woke up.

Gotta love cron alarms
