I hear that now... kinda freaked me out though... I thought he said "you should get the empeg" though I can hear the proper wording right now that it's been clarified to me :)

Oh, I heard it too.... but I hadn't heard it until you mentioned it. I can only assume that you were playing it on winamp on old computer speakers... I would have never heard it ON the empeg... In fact, I checked.. Winamp, I knew exactly what you were talking about.. Playing the sample on the empeg into my reciever, perfect clarity of what he was really saying.... Gotta love those DAC's...

It was on WinAMP but not through computer speakers... instead it was a decent quality set of headphones... after you clarified the fact I listened to it here at work on my crappy computer speakers and made out the proper wording... weird. But after listening to it about 20 times I was convinced that he had to have an empeg... maybe I just had my mind set to it at that point!

If you play it backwards, it says "Here's to my sweet Satan".

Oh god, I love that. It really does sound like that, too. But I've read some "lyrics" that some guy made for the backwards Stairway, and honestly, it sounded nothing like what he said it did.

Oh, I found the link: here it is.
It sounds absolutely nothing like what he says it does. In fact, nothing in the song sounds like anything like anything until the 'my sweet satan' part.
In case anyone wants to listen to it backwards, here's an MP3 of it.

I also attached a wav of just the sweet satan part I know you could get it from Tony's link, but again, I don't think the rest sounds anything like what they say it does. Must be the drugs...

Looks like the attachment isn't working. Oh well.

Tony, people like the ones who take this stuff seriously worry me. I must have listened to 'Stairway' 50 times now, [sarcasm]and watch me as I go off to my church of satan and slaughter innocent calves[/sarcasm].

That's not satanism. It is a good opening for a job in the UK Ministry of Agriculture, though.

ROFL!

I can't remember where I read it, but it was an article about how Hoof 'n Mouth disease was the only existing virus that couldn't be spread via Outlook.
