This is something I just saw on slashdot.org, is this what you guys have been up to? :)

Transmeta Webpad

Quickening writes: "At long last, the coveted transmeta webpad is available from FrontPath as the ProGear 1050 HX+. Juicy tidbits: linux 2.4, TM3200 400MHz, touchpad, 802.11b, and USB. I expect to see this kind of story on Slashdot before I run across the product surfing. These are the same Rio people that bought up the EMPEG car mp3 player." They're not exactly cheap, but they sure are nifty. I think I'll stay with my old laptop with 802.11 though.

Ahh. I may have mistaken a little 'same people that bought up the EMPEG car mp3 player' ok. But are there any uses for this device WITH the Empeg?

{not having read the review to which you refer}
The ProGear was mentioned in this post.
is there something new they've released?

I don't think, therefore I am not.

You're not that mistaken. FrontPath is another of Sonicblue's brands. As soon as we get our sticky little mitts on one, you can be sure that we'll hack something together for the empeg.

But, no. This isn't what we've been working on.

Roger - not necessarily speaking for empeg

We had one at CES which was intended to communicate with our wireless S2000 install, running displayserver. It would have done just that if the 802.11 security had been setup properly.

The webpad is specifically targeted for vertical markets, although there may be a consumer version in future.
