Having had my empeg installed for 10 days a car got in my way and made some minor modifications to the front end. OK, I drove up their arse. No one hurt fortunately, car not too bad, but my empeg doesn't get past the Rio boot logo. Hard drive spins, can hear the heads doing their bit but nothing more happens. Same problem if I plug it into the mains. All worked fine after the accident until I pulled it out and stuck it back it again. Anyone got any ideas? (I will email [email protected] also) Really annoying part is the 6 day driving across France holiday I'm going on on Thursday morning - looking like it'll be a hire car and no empeg - bugger. Thanks Phil

Post the boot log here (connect the serial cable and start HyperTerminal), might be that a IDE-cable or jumper that has come loose, and someone might be able to diagnostize it from the log...

David at Rio has suggested the drive cable and emailed me instructions. Unfortunately through much convoluted bad luck my PC is 500 miles away in Edinburgh and I've been doing all empeg related stuff through a Mac. I'll have to wait until tomorrow when I'm back in the office to get to a PC. I'll post a log here and check the drive cable. Thanks. Phil
