Hmm, interesting concept; a little short on details, though. Obviously requires support from content providers. I wonder is it anything more than an idea....

But the web page very clearly states, "Available in early 2002 from major consumer electronics retailers and specialty shops."

If that doesn't convince you it's not just vaporware, I don't know what will.

Its actual appearance (in retail or otherwise) just might .

I am not sure I get the concept completely (I admit I did not download pdfs): one tells the SW running on PC what are one's preferences, and the thing loads in-car component wirelessly (or sets up the alarm clock) with appropriate programming pulled off the Internet? They mention user's CDs, but not how is one supposed to rip, encode and organize them.

I certainly wish them success.

I know it's not for automotive market but there is an other linux based Portable Mp3 Player that can use Ethernet and many other interesting Functions ...
