He's from Belgium! He's from Belgium! How about getting info on that map format in exchange for v2 release info? :)

Hey Tony, repeat after me:

"It works fine on my machine, Rob."

"Erased disk? No, Rob, didn't see a thing."

"All Britney Spears songs? Hmm ... don't think so, but let me check on that for you, Rob."

ROFL

I will say that the release was held up by some things other than just little niggling bugs. The things that they were holding it for were real show stoppers, such as you couldn't install the upgrade at all to a Mk2a player, or USB would quit working altogether if you did things a certain way. So it's important to fix those kinds of things before a public beta. I think there are also some other non-bug-related things they had to iron out, too.

Pet peeve request... can the Emplode install dialog NOT have "Company" as a mandatory field prior to install.

Seems silly to even HAVE a Company field on a consumer product, and it should just be an installshield option as to what to request/require, right? :)

The installer for 2.0 is COMPLETELY different from the one you're used to. Just wait...

With all the hype 2.0 is getting, they should just change the name to EmplodeXP.

...or that every time you want to install it you'll have to call the Empeg guys to get a code to unlock it. They're gonna love that.

Oh my goodness, it's horribly broken. Nope, no chance of a release any time soon. Too bad.

(Just kidding, I just started downloading it now.)

Rob,
Weren't you going to release those addresses? I think Tony wants an angry pitch-fork weilding, torch brandishing mob at his door.

pitch-fork? Too clean and sharp.... SPOONS.....That's what we want... You don't want the suffering to end too quick....

Maybe a Spork, but that's as far as I'm willing to compromise...

SPOON!!!!!!!!!!

Pah! Merely a game... This is Empeg!

Seriously, I want it out, but I'll wait .... somewhat patiently... to make sure that the major issues are taken care of. I realize that it's not a simple app, and when dealing with PC's, it becomes even more complex...

How hard could it be to find a guy with EMPEG on his license plate?

No, Surely not. He might bleed to death.
Herring. Or Tuna.
Much more satisfying.

tfabris: I will say that the release was held up by some things

To all the beta testers out there,

Does the following link kinda help you like anything in speeding up the release of V2.0?
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/tools/existing/instaler-o.asp

Just trying to be helpful...

Tuna.

But I've seen fully grown tuna... That would seriously crush him.... which MIGHT be a problem.

oh!!!!

Jellyfish! Wear protective clothing, and use them as a whip!

Tony, It's really in your best interests to say that this version is fine... Lord knows you don't want this type of conversation to continue.... It can only go downhill....
