Just trying to get the ball rolling early on a possible second annual west coast US owners meet. I need to know rough dates soon if one is in the works so I can set aside vacation time for next year. Something that would work rather well would be near E3 timeframe, since I will be out that way anyhow. E3 this year is May 21-24th, in LA.

I'd offer to host it at my families cabin, but I'm not sure how many people want to meet here at the foot of Pikes Peak. (Considering it was a rather long drive for me last year).

If you hold the meet somewhere in Northern California, I will be there, of course. Just let me know where to show up.

I can help set it up again, if you want to do it at Boulevard or somewhere similar... It seemed to work pretty well last year there. The ownership has changed, but I can go down there and make some arrangements if we pick a date...

As of now, my interest is at least peaked. I would be driving in from Dallas. Any awards for the furthest visitor?

Yes, there are. However, Dallas probably wouldn't win it for you. At the last meet we had some folks from europe who weren't empeg employees.

Then again, there's something to be said about DRIVING from Dallas. Personally, if you did that, I think you should get the award.

Unless the folks coming from europe flew the plane themselves...

Wow, now that's dedication. They came over just for the meet? Or they happened to be in the neighborhood?

I was just at Pikes Peak last week. Much shorter drive to there than to LA for me. I am in TX.

Maybe we should have two "distance" awards... one for "farthest from home", one for "farthest an empeg-equipped vehicle came from".

Then you can reward the die-hard from the other side of the planet who flew, as well as the guy who hopped in the car for 4500 miles or whatever.

Unless there's a 747 pilot out there who's equipped his airliner with an Empeg. JetEmpeg... That might beat out the previous "coolest places to install an Empeg" award winners BoatEmpeg and BikeEmpeg. All that's left is TankEmpeg. Now THAT would be sweet. Especially if the tank gun was controlled by the Empeg's UI.

Apparently, an empeg has been installed in a "sodding big aeroplane". I don't remember seeing any more details apart from this one post, though.

This would be a very good use of the "stun/kill" remote button
