Trying to synchronize a simple typo change. At the Removing Deleted Items phase, Emplode replies with "Synchronize failed while removing deleted items. An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. (error 0x80072745)"

Meanwhile, I have a terminal open on the empeg. I see this whiz on by, followed by a stalled empeg that won't turn on again (unless I unplug it - and when I do that and try a rwm I'm told the drives need fsck-ing, and when I do that, no problems are announced). Clues?

Tried again, this time with logging on, and with another twist: I did the BARE MINIMUM synch and just did it w/o making any changes. It went through an fsck again, and this time it rebooted and all was well. Then I went and made my typo fix and synched. Worked perfectly!

So then ... might there have been an issue doing an fsck along with another change after it? No idea, but there you have it.

There could have been. Did you put the drives back to read only? That might have caused problems, but I do not know if you would see those symptoms.

Note that Hijack kernels are compiled with "no frame pointer" to reduce the memory footprint back to something similar to a "stock" kernel. But I do keep the System.map files around, so it should still be possible to figure out what was running if anyone is so inclined.

Dunno if you were using Hijack, though.
