I recently wiped a player so I could re-load it from scratch - somehow many (many many) of the songs had been duplicated on the drive, so this seemed the best way.

Now, when the player software starts, it spits this to the serial port:

! local_audio_component.cpp: 573:Invalid tune information for FID 0x0. This is bad.

What's that mean? How bad is it? What's going to happen once I copy all my music back to the player??

TIA

IIRC FID 0 is the root playlist, which seems to be missing or corrupted.
How did you wipe it? If you deleted the tune and tag files from /drive[01] then you also need to wipe the database (/drive0/var/[database|playlists|tags]) files/ and/or resync to rebuild the database as empty.

If you did it from within emplode, then I have no idea...

But an application of the diskbuilder.upgrade file followed by the player version you want should clear everything

The root playlist is actually 0x100. The error message is complaining about an empty playlist saved in the dynamic data. It's nothing to worry about.

Whew! Thanks!

It seems to have gone away once I reloaded the music onto the player, so that makes sense.

Thanks again!
