I've been trying to get my grubby little hands on a KCA-RC600 Kenwood remote (as descibed here) but it doesn't seem to be available in Belgium. My dealer contacted Kenwood Belgium and they gave him the big NO.
Can somebody please help ? Linking me to an online store that ships to Belgium would be my best bet I think. (the only place I know of that sells them online is Crutchfield, but they don't ship transatlantic AFAIK) Other suggestions are welcome too.

Thanks!

Do a search in Google. I'm in a similar boat here in Canada. There are a few smaller stores carrying the remote that do ship anywhere. I don't know how much they'll charge to ship to Belgium though.

Only site I found was this one. (there are others, but they not a single one to ship to Belgium + this one is the cheapest) This company also doesn't ship transatlantic, but they DO ship to Canada.
Care to do me a favour?

The only problem with *me* doing you the favour is a possible double-taxation one. I will get charged at least 15% tax when the package gets delivered here (plus a higher shipping charge) and then you might get nailed again in Belgium.

What you need is a nice US individual to do the favour. I'm actually interested in the steering-wheel remote, but again, same situation.

Though I'm not one throwing money around, I don't really care. I want this thing! It's only $20 so with tax and shipping what will that be? Double that price? No problem : that's a price I'm willing to pay.
I'll see if I can find a nice US individual first , but otherwise, I'll go the double taxation route (if you are willing)

TIA!

Millionbuy.com seems to be using UPS. I can't order if it's UPS. Otherwise forget about simple Tax. UPS will want an additional $30+ Canadian when they deliver (brokerage) - even if the tax amount was $1!

I am looking for other places that sell it now...

Another option, perhaps not good enough, but figured I'd throw it out there if you get desperate....

I have a RC-500 (same general layout -- it came with my HU) and it is a very light thing. If folks were into taking the risk, I could get some of the RC-600s from Crutchfield and repackage them (just with instructions, no box, no batteries) and send them on via non-trackable plain-old-mail in a bubble-pack envelope say with a cardboard stiffener.

If that would be an option I could check the postal rate tomorrow at my mail drop.

Ouh, that would work for me. If you're going to be ordering anyone a KCA-RC600, let me know and maybe you can get me the RC700 steering wheel model (they have both). Don't need the box as you mentioned.

Just decide how you'd want to handle payment. Paypal, money order, etc...

OK, I'll take the DC-500 down there tomorrow and figure out postal stuff. Paypal would be best, I think. Once I get the details perhaps I'll put it under "For Sale" as some sort of a group buy in case there are other interested parties outside U.S.

I'm actually saddled with a sudden blast of work (using the BBS for intermittent work avoidance today -- glad I don't have any interest in the Superbowl!) and travel so I probably wouldn't be able to mail these until late during the week of Feb 10th.

That would be great!!
Would you send all the remotes to Hybrid first so he can send me one ? Or would you send two packages ? I'll look into how that paypal stuff works right now because I've never used it before.

Thanks!

Tell me about it! When I bought my Neo35 (yeah, I know, but everybody makes mistakes in their youth ) a year ago from carplayer.com I had such an experience. I opted for carplayer.com because they were the only ones that shipped internationally those days. Funmp3players didn't do so yet at that time and the Mstation was a whole load more money for the same product (with only a 10gig HD and when I would've opened it up I would've voided my warranty!)
Anyway, when the package arrived on my doorstep with UPS, they asked me for an additional +/- $150 tax! One-hundred-f***ing-fifty dollars! I can tell you : if it wasn't for me wanting this product for a very long time (which turned out to be a mistake later on, but that's a different story ) I would've refused the package.
For this reason I'm also NEVER going to use UPS again!
