Seeing as how the empeg uses an ARM chip, as does the S5, is there a player for the psion. or at least a controller from the psion to the empeg.
I noticed there was a small thread started about it but not much else.
or maybe this should be in off topic........

The Empeg uses a StrongARM.
The software cannot run on the Psion. If notting else, then because of the difference in display and sound hardware.

Writing a controller for the psion should be relatively easy. You could use OPL and look at the example in the doccumentation for serial communication, and control the player via a serial cable.

There may also be possible to use IR to controll the player. I do not remember the state of IrDA-compliance in the Psion's OS.

(Let me know if you come up with something cool!)

Yeah, I thought it would be neat to be able to telnet into the empeg with IR.
Maybe I will just have to get around to installing Hijack like so many others, but I have only had my shiny new to for a week or so and amn wary of blowing it up!
