If you had a Mk1 but were needing a sled, it would still be the same price to buy a Mk2a (with it's own sled) and a $350 ebay tuner as it is to buy this Mk1 to get the sled. And you would still have the original Mk1 to sell for $700...

5 GB isn't much considering I almost have my 40GB filled but a drive could always be added. Do you by chance need a tuner?

There's no reason not to add another HD, or swap one of the ones you already have.

I already have a spare tuner, so an extra would be pushing it, However you could sell yours on ebay!

Doesn't look like anyone answered this yet but I am one of the few that has a Mark I. They already have an FM tuner built in.
In fact I would possibly be interested in buying one of your Mark II's depending on the price since I would like all the extra features of it and my Mark I is probably going to have to go in for service.

Send me an e-mail if you are interested and I'll tell you what I have and then we can discuss a price.

I do miss my Mark 1 at times, but I know if I hadn't sold it, I'd have probably missed the Mark 2, since the $900 from it kept me out of debt a bit longer when I was unemployed.

And I do like the Mark 2 better for it's ethernet jack. Ethernet is easier for me both at home and at work then USB.

I've still done more hacking on the Mark 1 then I have on my Mark 2 units though. And I do have both style bumper stickers. One of the origionals might make a good prize at the CA meet, since if I remember right, empeg was quite generous in the amount they packed into the box.

There are two identical Mk.1 stickers (one adhesive and one window cling) and likewise two Mk.2 stickers. I'm sure we can sort out the full set, since you asked nicely.

Thank you indeed. If this deal goes through I will be a very proud owner of a MK1 and give it a very good home. It will have the honor of residing in my Nova. I remember way back when of being on THE LIST for one but couldn't swing the money when my # was up. Or maybe that was for a MKII.

I'm working on a deal now to sell one of my MKIIa's.

I'd make a crack about just going into debt for things if I really want them, but really I never did; Around the end of last year I got a second job and conveniently prices dropped right then anyhow, so when I finally had the money for an empeg it ended up being cheaper anyhow.

A MK1 might be cool, but I don't have the money for another car to put it in just now

Becuase the MKI is hard to find and it looks hella better than a MKII in my opinion. I had the option to buy a MKI and MKII (empeg not SB) for the same price at the same time. I choose the MKI becuase its a classic. I do miss not having a eth port but hell I can say I have #301 of 350 .. Can you say that about any MKII?
