FIRST: I didn't see anything that quite covers this in the FAQ

I've a Mk2a 60GB w/hijack installed. (or did....) & emplode beta 2.0-11. A logo made with logoEdit. I'm using extra AC adapter purchased from Sonic blue.
I haven't used my player in the last month (car is in pieces etc etc). It was working fine when I used it last. I decided to upload a few GB of songs.
1. The first time I booted the player it couldn't find the disks. I rebooted and all was fine.
2. After loading a few songs I got the 'known bug' from emplode. I rebooted player and emplode; all was fine.
3. I while loading the bulk of the songs the player didn't display the synchronizing screen. When I moved the jog dial it displayed it. After 30 min emplode hung on a song and the player's synchro animation stopped. I rebooted both player and emplode. All was not fine. Player would boot to logo but would not be accessible over network, would allow access to hijack menu but not play songs or access any other menu.
4. I tried to reprogram player with beta 2.0-11 image. It does the flash just fine but upon 'finding pump' for hard disk prep it would say it couldn't. @ this point it boots to the static logo and just sits there; no menus (incl hijack), nothing. I've tried to upgrade it a few times with the same result.

How can I get my player working again? (and what did I do to get myself here in the first place?)

You didn't do anything. You most likely have the hard disk cable problem. Contact support.

Beta7 had this problem, in that one could not upgrade from beta3 due to "missing pump". I had to back out to 1.03 first, and then apply the beta7 upgrade.

Perhaps beta11 has the same issue.

I upgraded beta3 to beta7 and beta7 to beta11 without problems; I guess some other factor may also be involved.
