well its the 4th time int he past 30min ive had the player frezze on me.. im going to downgrade hijack to see if thats the problem.... it jsut started doing this since i just put v217 on..

Keep us posted. I'm on Hijack 211 and I've had many lockups in the past few days but only because I've been doing 30 GB or so of downloads in preparation for a mass re-tag... I think there's something about doing these large downloads that futzes up my player on occasion.

We've seen it at Empeg Towers on non-hijacked players. It's not Mark's problem. It is, however, extremely sporadic; three hours without it occurring is quite usual.

it wont frezze not that v210 is on.. ill see if it was just conseidecne

well i just put v217 back on and it froze again within the next 15min. i had hyperterminal open.. and nothing showed up.. so i dunno this is how my payer stands as it is.. i have the swarm visual on and info on Line can anyone else repeat this?

here we go again more information on this.. only happenes in home mode.. when in car mode it dosnt frezze.. and dose seem to do it with hijack v210 and below.. jsut pooped v220 frezzed in the matter of seconds..

well my next resort.. is to try and reinstall the kernal..

Please define "Freeze" and "freak lockups" for me. I don't know what you mean when you say this happens.

Does the display keep updating?

If so, then please install Hijack v221 immediately and try again. That version has a little bit of player debug logic to popup a message under certain lockup conditions, and we need to know if you see the message. -- See the new thread in GENERAL for more info if needed.

well i accully get both.. the lockups i cant access anythign the visuals stop.. and the "player dosent work" but i still can get into hijack.. my other situations is all the buttons do not operate.. i put v221 on now.. ill tell you when i get the message.. the player didt go an hour before the lock ups before this version so ill see

well mark, and everyone else having this problem.. asfter lots and ltos of reserach, and downgrading ect. and still finding it locking up.. and after having it lock up in my car today for the first time.. and reseting the playing to find the No Hard Disk Found, Contact Support Message, i came to the realizations that i got a bad hard drive cable.. or so i tihnk.. so im going to contact support and ask them if i can just do it myself, dont feel liek shipping it off.. seems like such a pain
