Hi.

I have a small problem with the restoration of the last info/visual setting when on AC power. This is what happens:

1. I am turning my empeg on (applying AC power to it)
2. empeg boots and shows visual X and info "transient".
3. I do a long press of the bottom button, it switches to info "track"
4. optional: I turn the empeg to standby.
5. After a while, I pull the power plug.
6. Later on, I apply power again and the empeg boots (to standby if applicable)
7. It is back to visual X and info "transient".

In my opinion, it should not be turning back to info "transient" .. after all, I switched it to info "track" before it got turned off. This does not seem to happen if I switch to info "track" using either the menu or the remote.

On a different note: I had the following appear at least once:

1. while on AC, switch to a transparent info mode (e.g. transient)
2. turn to standby, then pull power plug
3. put empeg in sled and let it boot to DC power mode. It will automatically
switch to standby again.
4. push a button to wake empeg up.
5. empeg did _not_ switch to non-transparent info mode (e.g. track), but rather
stayed(sp?) in the mode it was last in when on AC power. (Hijack's restore visual
function was and is disabled.)

This long-known bug in 2.0b11 has been temporarily worked-around in the latest Hijack. Enable both the "restore DC/Car visuals" feature in Hijack, as well as the "Restore visuals (2.0b11)" feature.

Hmm,

interesting, I must have overlooked previous reports on this bug then.

Regarding the bug workaround in HiJack: I don't want HiJack to restore visuals on DC power, just would like to get to my last visual/info modes when on AC power.

That's why there are separate menu options for each.

By the way, before somebody discovers it and whines, the v2beta11 bugfix only works if you have "[display] visual_names=1" in Emplode/config.ini (the default setting).

Ah, that's what I was doing wrong! I hate visual_names - they stay visible for Far Too Long!
