When I got my head unit,I was excited that the temp gadge worked, up until yesterday (unexpected heat wave), I figure 'Eh, lets see how warm this puppy is' and I notice its at 25 F. I figure two things.....Either i'm on my way to cold fusion or the temp guage gave out. (Please, no 'Read the FAQ', I know the temp guage is flaky, I know you cant return them for repair for this.) At least it worked for 3 weeks.......

Did you have hijack installed? There was supposed to be some extra safeguards to reduce the number of dud temp sensors I think...

You can check the temperature by looking at the /proc/empeg_therm file as well

You could replace the chip if you're good enough with a soldering iron...
