Wow! Thanks for the offer Dave, but Ive sorted it out a long time ago. I wanted IEC for easy connection to a UPS, but I've hacked a IEC male to a 4way UK adapter for those other devices with UK plugs on

I just got my order. It was wrapped in many many many layers of clear blue plastic. It looked like someone had just kinda threw it together. One of those 'midnight mailbox' ebay type packages.

I don't think I've had 2 packages put together the same way from SB. I had to go to work so I've not opened it yet.

Maybe there's a brand new Rio Car inside...!!!

But this package would have come from the UK guys, not the SB US e-store / little shop of inconsistencies...

My two last MkIIas, as well as the first one, came shrinkwrapped together in clear blue plastic (all from the UK store). Since the box the empeg comes in is quite adequate to protect it in shipping (unless someone makes a concious effort to play basketball with it...) I far prefer this method compared to the US e-store way of sticking it in a larger box with inadequate packing material (IIRC someone reported all of 4 styrofoam peanuts) causing the empeg box to slide and bump back and forth inside the larger box.

no new Rio car. Just everything I ordered in perfect condition. The extra AC adapter is like the one that comes with the Rio Car. It's the little one. Much nicer than the big bulky unit you get in the US.

Rob, does "USA compact plug" mean the small 1-piece units (transformer integrated at end with plug) that shipped with many EMPEG units, or the 2-piece unit (transformer in middle) that's shown in the picture to right of the item description?

It seems like the USA store only has the AC adapter? There are no more sleds?

and it seems like the remotes are gone too!

The USA store sold out of everything months ago. The empeg store ships to the US.
