Emplode can't seem to connect to my player anymore; it gets stuck at reading database. I tried downgrading back to 1.03, and emplode doesn't do much of anything for a minute or so and then gives "The download process failed during stage 7: Error 80070017: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)."

The player still works fine other than syncing.

Any clues as to what I can do to get the player to sync again would be greatly appreciated.

Hook up the serial port to some software (eg. kermit, or HyperTerminal) so that you can "see" what is really happening.. report back here with the output.

Because I rip through the BBS so fast and type my replies as quickly as possible, I sometimes come off as sounding short. I don't mean to. I'm perfectly happy to help out newbies.
