I found a link on MP3newswire.net for the GIDI Digital Jukebox 80GB player for $768 USD. Looks like it is available in multiple case configurations for use in various settings. I would doubt it could hold a candle to our beloved Car Player, but still may be of interest to some. Painfully small display...

That metal box design looks sweeeet.... and it's only 8"x4"x2". Here's a direct link to the company that makes 'em.

Speaking of which..... is there any new news on the SONICblue mystery music server?

I think, it ressembles to Neo35 in the Conception.

But the MetalBox looks pretty nice.

The MicroServer is similar to Neo except the Wheel Remote (Not Bad)

But the is stille cable from the unit to LCD.
In fact, I dont Like this kind of system....

Only my mind

What do you guys think of the HP home server with a built in CD-R drive and that uses the TV as a UI? The CD-R is cool only if you have guests over and want to burn them a CD (at least for us empeg owners who don't use cd players much).

I still think I would go for a RioReceiver if it ever gets a TV output. I'd rather store my mp3's on my computer. Just wish that I could use the RioReceiver via 802.11 wireless instead of running wires.

Well, you can do wireless (cue Rod?)... but you need to splash out on extra hardware.

That wheel remote is actually a Blaupunkt Thummer. I own one, very good inded. Haven't actually touched my unit's fascia for months.
On the ohter side, I also wouldn't like to buy something like this Microserver, feels so limited when compared to the empeg.
