I've given this a lot of thought but unless things change, I won't be planning a Cincinnati Meet this fall. I would need to start planning and making reservations soon and my heart just isn't in it at this time. Maybe I'll change my mind later on but don't count on it.

Maybe someone else around this area would like to take charge this year. I'm sorry.

That's a shame, but I understand.

That's too bad. Last year was fun. I was planning on tweaking the "empeg boom-box" to work better this summer since we'll be using it more now that the weather is getting nice. Thanks for all your work last year though!

Lets just say that I am at peace and happy again. The meet will go on.

I'll post some dates this weekend for people to select from and within the next few weeks I want to check out the cabins at Brookville Lake and compare the facilities with Hueston Woods and decide on a spot. It will be the same as last year and last from Friday night through Sunday.

Hopefully everyone that came last year will come back and some new faces will show up also. Fun will once again be had by one and all

Glad to hear that. I can't wait for another weekend like the last meet, it was well worth the airfare.

Well, no airfare here, but i did enjoy it. Maybe I can drag Mrs dbrashear along, if she's not still taking classes, or employed.

You'd both be more than welcome to come. I'll have to start thinking of things to do this year and see what prizes I can gather together. Maybe D&M will have some give-aways and maybe Mark will come again this year and bring a docking station with him Maybe it will give me the incentive I need to install an empeg in my Nova.

We'll have to plan another geo-caching trip somewhere and maybe we'll get boat rides again. This time I'll buy a little less food, there was enough to feed an army last year.

Thanks, Paul. I think I'm just learning to let things be and take life for what it is. Serenity at last.

Now remember, we all loved the brownies, and enjoyed the extra servings of those . Out of curiosity, what happened to the massive amounts of marshmelllows left last year? I think for punishment, anyone who comes this year who was a no show last year should have to eat an entire bag of them. <evil grin>

Um well, after they started to get a little hard I tossed them in the garbage. I didn't think there might be a use for them. I'll leave them off of the shopping list this time and get extra brownies instead

Glad to hear the meet is going on. I look forward to it! This time I'll practice and I'll hit that dumb pole with the football.

My family and I will do our best to make it again. The previous OH meet was lots of fun. Breakfast and snacks at the cabins and other meals out might lighten your load, and would be fine with us. I definitely over packed for the last meet, and don't plan to bring the windsurfer or bicycles this time. They were not needed, since there was plenty to do, and interesting folks to chat with.
