Rob - what would you think about publicating something like the reg# served or # of invitations send or something like that on your homepage?

Would be a kind of help or status for the interested people to be able to see how far the Mk2 is.

Nah, I think it's accurate enough to say that we'll reach everyone this summer. It's pretty easy to work out which end of the summer you'll be, given your registration number between 1 and 14,000.

OK, I understand.

I think the users here in the BBS can also help showing a which number we are. To all users: What about a simple posting if invited to order and if finally received the Mk2.
I think this would give a quite clear status without having rob another thing to do (Better if he's working on the perfection of the Mk2 )

Ouch. So if I'm number 12,778 I don't have much hope until the end of the summer? Ouch big time.

Don't feel so bad. I was 1640 in the queue, and had to wait for a long while to get my unit. Now that empeg has grown, they will be able to develop and ship new products much quicker then when Hugo had some idea for selling a car MP3 player.

Great idea!! As each person receives their Mk2 they can post a message on the board letting everyone know their queue number and when they received the empeg (or when they received the notification to order one).

Start a new message topic such as "Order Status" or something like that.

Ok! there's a new thread now.

Some people should already have received an invitation to order, shouldn't they, Rob?

This information will be on the web site, on the shipping status page.

No, nobody has received an invitation yet. I'm waiting for a firm shipping date before sending them out.

(It was going to be June 12th but that doesn't seem likely now - although I still hope it'll be in that week)

I registered my interest about 2 weeks ago and have yet to hear back with a registration number. I'm sure you got alot going on, but is that a normal delay? I dont wanna sit patiently if I missed out and end up another month down the waiting list. :)

I've just automated the registration system, so new registrations will be processed in real time on the web site.

I'm catching up with the outstanding entries from the old system - if you haven't already received your number, you should get it in the next day or so.
