Here's a question for the guys@empeg.

In my past reading I am sure you said there were 50 units being delivered to you, then after they got delivered you said that you had actually gotten 70 units.

If that is correct and you did have 70 completed units then where are the other 30 going??? That sure would help me get a chance at one of the beasts!

Now if I missed a post where this was explained please forgive me... I am still hoping to get an email from you guys asking me to place my order.

70 units... 40 units ... who cares - doesn't make a difference to the defered ones...
I think there are more than only 70 orders from existing empeg owners.

Just wait another 2-4 weeks then the batch will be ready I guess.
(I'm one of the defered ones, too and hope to get one sooooon

There are 70 main boards in existence, but metalwork/plasticwork/etc isn't available for all of these yet.

I'm pretty sure that Rob or Hugo said the other units were being kept to be used for press reviews etc. I can't find the exact post though.

Ok, ignore this, Hugo posted the real reason just as I was sending this myself - guess I've been dreaming about empegs just a little too much lately

They are gone. Rob sent out order confirmation and delay notices this morning. Although in the email he said they may get more on friday. Those would most likely be the missing of the 70 total. And still those will go to previous buyers like me.

If the confirmation submissions are to be believed (and they seem to be accurate) around 50% of Mark 1 owners are planning to upgrade. That's a fantastic ratio, and I think it speaks volumes for the customer satisfaction that we enjoy.

(OK, it could be argued that those customers are NOT satisfied with their Mark 1 units, but I really don't think thats the reason they're upgrading!)

I am very satisfied with my Mark 1 but will definitely be upgrading - volume knob, better tuner, ethernet - these additions will be great.

Andy.

I think if customers (or clients ) are not satisfied with a product at that cost you would know!

I just got a order confimation that my player is queued for shipment. I guess those other 30 players showed up. Its even harder to wait when you know there is a player somewhere in the would with your name on it.

Mine got stuck in customs friday, and now I have to wait until at least monday.

I really need to punch a bureaucrat in the gut.

-Wishing my Mark2 hadn't got stuck in customs.
