Just received my 12gb blue mk2 on Friday morning. Had it installed this weekend in my 2000 Tahoe. Unfortunately my installer called to let me know the crimp has already failed on my sled =[. I'll be sending an e-mail in a few minutes to the folks at Empeg.

I'll be sulking the rest of the weekend...

On a side note I am having the unit installed at the Good Guys in La Jolla (San Diego..) It turns out they did another mk2 just a week ago. I guess there are advantages to going to an installer than is 5 minutes from MP3.com. =].

We can send out another loom on Monday, but if you don't want to wait your installer should be able to fix the problem in a couple of minutes - it just needs a touch of solder.

Wow, that didn't take Rob very long to reply to. While I am very anxious I think I will wait for the replacement loom after the last post to general had his whole unit fried from it coming lose.

I must agree with Rob, your installer should be able to fix this easily. The same thing happened to me last week when I received mine. I showed the wire to the installer and within 30 seconds he has repaired it. Everything is working fine for me now.
