Anyone interested?

To try and intercept any question these are basic plexiglas boxes they will not come with a sled or any electrical connections. These are for people that want something basic and want to finish to their specs.

I might offer ones that won't require the sled later.

Now available at the site.

With the aftermarket sleds on the way... this would be something I'd be interested in. Although I wouldn't want a very large one. Since I'm planning to install a fan in my empeg, something that is the bare minimum (in size) for the sled, with vents on the top and side, would be ideal.

Edit: Also, I would probably prefer to have the emepg's fascia line up with the front of the box. But that's me.

Tbis looks pretty sweet and for the price I may buy one but...

Questions:
Is the top clear or is it going to be a opaque plexiglass?

Are the sides plexiglass or fiber board? It is hard to tell from the picts.

Which panel is removable to gain access to the inside of the player and what type of fastening are you using, glue?

Also, one more, Are the holes precut?

The whole thing is out of ¼ Black Plexiglas.
It is held together with glue. I don't work with any woods normally. Just plastics.
The top piece will be left unfastened so you can choose what way you prefer to fasten it. And the front is precut to fit the sled and there is a smaller opening in the back that will come with another piece of black plastic for covering it. That hole is in case you want to put jacks in it or whatever. You can leave it open if you like and just run the sled wires out of it.

Or even better, so that the player fascia will be mostly recessed..

The fascia is fairly thick - 1/4" wouldn't be enough to recess it more than a few millmeters and still have material left for the sled to grip. I'd think one could recess it about 1/8", which is about the depth of the flat part on the top and bottom of the fascia.
