Hi!
We'll probably be going to Amersfoort for the meeting (Me, my wife and our dog), and we are investigating for places to stay. We have got bonus points for a weekend at the rainbow hotels, but only the one in Brussels will allow the dog to come along.
One more attractive option would be to take along a tent and camp somewhere, either on a public camp site or in the wild somewhere. Do such places exist in the Netherlands? Any other recomendations?

There's at least three really good campsites all within a short distance of the event site around Amersfoort. The event itself is at the Campanille hotel, Amersfoort: I don't know if they accept pets or not. I am going to try and set up a discount for group booking through me in the near future, watch the announcements board.

I'm sure that I read in a piece of literature when I was staying at their Manchester Hotel that being dog friendly was part of their family friendly policy - whether that counts for the whole of Europe, I don't know, it's not on the Campanile corporate site.

Certainly, when the Boxers moved in, we tested the policy to the full, they must have thought a rock group was trashing the place!

Best to check on booking.
