Amersfoort 2004 - Who will be there before Friday?

Hi folks,
just want to plan the hotel-booking. Anyone coming Wednesday or Thursday, so we can meet and anyone who wants to share a room for these nights?
(Warning: last year Mark complained about me snoring...) 
@Julf: Wednesday evening in Amsterdam as said some time ago?

I was planning to fly into Amsterdam on Wednesday the 7th, probably at night. But I STILL don't have my tickets yet. Stupid me shoulda' bought them in January when this meet was first mentioned. Oh well, I may report back here (if I remember) with my filght details.
But, I was hoping to score a room at a youth hostel in Amsterdam. I hope they are not too shady, and they seem less expensive and more fun. I survived hostels in Germany and Austria, so let's hope Amsterdam isn't so bad.
But, it would still be cool to have someone to hang around with. Or at least meet up for dinner and a drink or something. Mini mini Amsterdam pre-meet meetup?

I'll be in Wednesday morning now. Haven't actually bought the tickets yet, but I'm sure that's what I'll do.
Perhaps we (any of you all reading) can make a rendezvous point to meet up. I'll post back once I have my hostel room booked so then at least I'll know a feasible meeting place.
Ah, it'd be fun to hang out. I hope to see you all there.

Sure! Some of us might be a bit jet-lagged (arriving from US wed morning), but that shouldn't be too much of a problem!

It will be *very* busy, as the backpackers of half the world converge. So as a backup, I should be able to offer a couch from Wednesday on.

You're going to be a long way from the meet, and if you have to travel back each night, the last Amsterdam trains are about 11:30 PM, which limits you to about 10:45 PM for enough time to get to the station and so forth.

Ummh, and I admit I've lost my notes on whom I've offered a place to stay in Amsterdam. I have wfaulk and mlord before the weekend, and drakino for sunday/monday, but I have an annoying nagging feeling there was someone else too. No prob, as I have space for 4-6 people, but if there's anyone I've forgotten, please let me knwo so I can keep track of space allocation - and I need to know when you are arriving, and if you need parking or not.

Rob, haha, I won't be staying in Amsterdam every night. Just Wednesday night and Thursday night. Momentarily, I'll be filling out my meet form to reserve a room in Amersfoort for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Thanks for the warning though.

Hi julf, do you think you may be able to give me room on your floor, and maybe parking for my Smart???
If I keep to my current timetable I should be in Amsterdam for the Wednesday and Thursday before the meet. If there is no room for me, how about just the Smart, I think parking could be expensive (like Barcelona 23Euros a day!!!) I want to go into Amsterdam and do the whole tourist thing etc...
Let me know, I'll check here a few times before the meet.

Customs coming from Andorra into Spain check the car over, when I asked them what they were looking for they said booze, fags and immigrants I thought they were taking the piss!!! They even lifted the engine cover!

Sure - both should be possible! Just don't count on very spirited company on Wednesday night - we'll be pretty badly jet-lagged after arriving from the US in the morning.

As worked out in email, i'll be there at Wednesday, picking up Mark at the airport. So, i need parking, too. But i can share one parking lot with Cristian...  We need 5 meters in length, or 3 meters in width... Can't wait...
