I got a new empeg MKIIa for my wife for Christmas and wanted to install the alpha 3.11 developer version on her player. I currently have 2.00 final on mine. When I tried to install Emplode 3.11 on my XP machine it gives me this noise saying I need to uninstall the older version of emplode and then stops. Can I have both running on my XP box or can I just use one version for both?

Do you mean Emplode 2.1? This is an executable that has been distributed with alpha player software in the past. You just have to replace your Emplode 2.0 executable with that one to make it work. There is nothing to uninstall.

Anyway, I don't use Emplode 2.1 because it's extremely unstable on every system I've tried it on. Emplode 2.0 works fine with the v3 alphas. If you need to load FLAC or OGG files, you will have to use jEmplode though.

Thanks, I thought maybe there was an emplode 3.0 or something that HAD to be used with the new version.

Sounds like I'll just keep using my Emplode 2.0 until I get into something besides mp3's.
