I'm a fairly new Empeg owner (yipee!) and have noticed an issue that others may have dealt with in empload: I like to have all my albums stored on the empeg, but also I like to have duplicate lists for my favorite albums. Here is a simple example of what I am talking about.

All Albums:
..Pop
....Madonna
......Something to Remember
......Ray of Light
......Music
Favorite Albums:
..Madonna
....Ray of Light
....Music

The way I would like to achieve this is as follows:
1) drag my entire MP3 Directory structure to empload (yielding the first list).
2) Copy the Artists That I want to be in the 'Favorite Albums' playlist. (In this case, Madonna)
3) Paste the Artists in the 'Favorite Albums' playlist.
4) Delete any Albums that exist under the artist from step 3 that are not my favorite albums. (In this case, 'Something to Remember').

Unfortunately, When I do this, 'Something to Remember' is deleted from both Madonna lists - The one from 'All Albums' and also the one from 'Favorite Albums'.

Is this a bug? or a feature?

It is a big problem for me because I have no way of knowing if I am deleting an album from a single list, or the ENTIRE empeg.

Is this with the 1.01 version, or are you still using the old? If so, upgrade and try again. The old code has problems with deleting playlists in emplode's left window . . .

It's a feature. When you copy within emplode, you actually just referencing things. So, when you copy your Madonna list from Albums=>Pop to Favourites, it's still the same playlist. To achieve the effect you wish, create new Madonna playlist in Favourites, and then copy desired albums into it.

Perhaps this warants a FAQ entry on what happens to tunes when they are uploaded, how are they represented on the player (FIDs and stuff), what copying is actually doing, how de-duping is done etc. Does anybody have something ready (perhaps somebody from empeg, they have that documented internally, don't they :) If not, I will try to sketch a rough draft and send it to our FAQ maintainers for inspection and tidying up.
