Any End of the year update on the Tuner Module?

Rob had mentioned that Sonic Blue was helping with the sourcing of components.

Has there been any luck?

John

Hopefully the module supply iwll start in 2001... though it may be around Christmas '01....

But knob, handle and AR-displays have been fixed/sent, maybe even VR will be available soon...sooner than the tuner perhaps?

I bought my Empeg about a Month ago an before i buyed it i asked whether the Tuner will become avaible in near future because in my car is space for only one radio and i depend on radio. The said that the Tuner Module will become avaible around the end of this year or beginning of the next one (2001). So i'm still hoping.

I will raise this with the production staff here and at SONICblue, and attempt to tie them down to a firm date very soon. With everything that has been going on here we maybe haven't been as focused on this as we could be, however the tuner module is very important, it will make volume production, and I hope that won't take too much longer.

Is there any possibillity to pre-order a tuner module ? They also told me that for all empeg owners shipping for the tuner module is free. Is that still true ?

and if you're a Mk1 owner, you don't have to preorder, you'll just automatically receive it in the mail/fedex delivery... at least that's my understanding of how it will work. D

I believe they mentioned that they would be going in order of people who ordered Mk2's. Whether that's by serial number or original queue number I don't know.
