A while ago, when I was living in a cramped house in West London, I transferred my CD collection from the jewel cases into Caselogic flip file things. This was a great idea -- saved a lot of space, and made it easy to browse my CD collection.
Of course, now I've moved a couple of times, I can no longer find the sleeve liners, or jewel cases for some of my CDs. I've still got the CDs, but no track listings.
As you can imagine, having ripped my entire CD collection and put it on my empeg, it's a little disappointing to have 4179 tracks of which 45 are missing the artist, 23 are missing the source, and 1180 are missing the year.
Now, I'm not too bothered about the year -- most CD liners don't include it (and does that annoy anyone else?). I _am_ however, annoyed that I can't find the source and artist for those remaining 68 items.
So, two questions:
1. Can anyone recommend a good site for looking up track listings for CDs that are no longer available? I've tried google, amazon, homebass, allmusic, and a couple of others.
2. Does anyone have the track listings for:
Ministry of Sound - Renaissance Vol 1, Disc 3, but more particularly a track called "Solar Plexus" - I can't figure out the artist.
Ministry of Sound - Renaissance Vol 3, Disc 1
Ministry of Sound - Renaissance Vol 3, Disc 3
The House Collection Vol 3 Disc 2 (Allister Whitehead)
I'm missing the CD liners for these.
Global Cooling (it was a freebie CD that Fosters were banging out in 1995).
Not much chance of that, but then I'm only missing artists for the following two tracks:
You got the Love (Eren's Bootleg Mix) -- it could be "SOURCE featuring Candi STATON", or "Robin S"
So In Love with you (Full Intention Remix) -- there are 4 versions listed in Guinness[1], none of which seem likely.
