Hello,

As my lucky number quickly approaches, I've been turning my attention to some necessary preliminary purchases, namely an amp and some new speakers.

I'm pretty technically clueless on the car stereo front, but I at least know my needs. Basically, I don't need an audiophile-quality car stereo experience. My car is pretty noisy, so I probably would lose alot of the subtleties of sound quality anyways.

At the same time, if I'm going to spend $1500 on my empeg, I want it to sound nice. Does anyone have suggestions on either of the following:

a) A good amp (or even a good brand) or
b) A checklist of things to look out for.
