i already noticed that post, but dont u think that 1100 euro are a bit too much?
i wonder if there's any problem getting an us empeg. can there be any problem considering the different voltage?
is there anything else i should consider using us empegs?

Actually, with a tuner and a carrying case, 1100 seems very reasonable, given today's prices. Excuse my american frame of reference, but an empeg costs $700, a tuner costs $400, and a carrying case would easily go for $75-100 i suspect, but they're too rare and I havn't ever seen one for sale...

Actually, I got interested in how much I actually paid for the device myself. I swept my old bills and finally found a receipt of 12.510,38 FIM billed by EMPEG LTD from my VISA. Now that is exactly 2104.09 Euros (1 Euro equals 5.94573 FIMs).

Since then I have bought the tuner module (I have a receipt of 129 GBP of that) and some other 'mods' for the gadget. So compared to that, the 1100 Euros price I'm asking isn't that horrible...just only if they had never sold Empegs so much cheaper at some point, heh.

I don't know if you have ever seen a unit in the flesh but i must say if mine disappeared i would pay that price in an instant.

i have to admit that i have never ever seen an empeg player except from all the nice pictures i got from the net.
but from the first day i saw it i loved it - if there wasnt the nasty price....
