We are re-designing our site and I was hoping some of you that might have IE browsers older than 6.0 and any other kind of browser could test the css layout for us.

The site is here:
http://dev.tema-usa.com

and the home page is supposed to look like the attached image.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If it doesn't render quite right, please just attach a screenshot of the problem and I can troubleshoot.

BTW - I'm not too concerned with the other areas of the site just yet since the site is still under heavy development. The deeper you go, the more broken it'll get. But if you notice something that is obviously a problem (layout wise, not fxnality wise) within the first couple levels of the site, feel free to let me know - I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

Nearly i-freakin'-dentical for me using Mozilla 1.5 under Sparc Solaris. Even the fonts are an exact match. Good job.

I would decapitalize the 'S' in "About US", though.

FireFox 0.8 on WinXP

The grey background extends the full screen size.
The wish list, help, and Cart seem to look a bit different.

P.S. I can post a png or tiff on a website but would prefer to email you the URL. Just email me if you would like the URL

Mozilla 1.5 on Linux Alpha shows some minor font differences, but not enough to have messed up layout.

Ha ha. Thanks! We definitely are not interested in discussing US history on or website. Good catch.

Ah yes, it's actually supposed to be that way. I should have included that in my screenshot. My designers tell me that it's all part of the a-symetrical nature of the design -- whatever. thanks for the screenshot, though. I appreciate it!

Thanks, everybody, for the help. I'm glad that so far no major changes are necessary. However, I'm still interested in finding out exactly how the site looks in IE 5.5 since that accounts for a fair percentage of browsers that visit the site. If anybody happens to still have a copy of it, I'd greatly appreciate a gander at the site.

Thanks again!

My Work machine has IE5.5 still on it. I will post a screenshot sometime Monday.

Fantastic! Thank you very much for your help. Could you, by any chance, have a look at this page:

http://dev.tema-usa.com/2/2/8/27/

and see how it lays out. That's the only other thing I wasn't sure about. We layout the thumbnails on the catalog pages with the float property of the divs, and I wasn't sure that would work right in 5.5.

Thanks again!

Also looks cool in my IE 5.5 SP2. I like how resizing the window's width changes the number of products that fit on a given row.

Hey, thanks for checking that out.

Yeah, that's a nice side-effect of using float. It seems to work great for a thumbnail layout like that.

That page works in both IE5.5 and FireFox 0.8

I clicked on the item links and noticed that the pictures above the Click to Enlarge isn't showing up.

Yeah, that page didn't even work until today. I got a few steps agead of the designers, and so those images won't show up until they've finished batching out all of the thumbnails.

I'm hopefully going to have the check-out process finished this week, as well. If so, can I ask you to test it out as well? Thanks for the testing help! It's been invaluable!

I just found this website. For a small amount of money (depending on your definition of small, I guess), they'll take screenshots of your website in various browsers.

http://www.browsercam.com/default.aspx

I'm not associated with them in any way -- I just found it while poking around on http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/

'Tis a shame, as it used to be free.
