I can only describe it...badly.

So when i was in high school, some kid brought one of these "things" into physics class one day. It was this round "thing" with a diameter of about 8", and in the middle, it had this little platform that was mirrored (i think). You could put something (the something could be anything, a cracker, a toy soldier, a coin) beneath this platform, and it would look like it was on the platform. So say you put a little toy elephant underneath, to anyone who saw this "thing", it would look like there was a little toy elephant that could be picked up, but you couldn't actually pick it up, because it was only a hologram or something.

Ahhh f uck. Anyone know what the hell i'm talking about?

It used to be called "Torsen's Mirror", it seems to project a three dee image where there is in fact nothng.

Sort of thing they sell in gift shops. Why are you looking to buy one?

NICE!! Thank you. Yes, i might be interested in buying one just for kicks. I havn't actually seen any, anywhere. All of the gift shops around here have South Park crap, mugs with terribly unamusing sayings, and horrible novelty sex items.

Here's one from a place I have dealt with in the past - Edmund Scientifics.

...especially if you plant something interesting in it, and watch people try to retrieve it...
