David Bradley retires from IBM.

My favorite quote: "I may have invented it, but Bill <Gates> made it famous."

And since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, let's not forget about [Ctrl]+[Open Apple]+[Reset] and [Ctrl]+[Command]+[Power]. One of the few examples of Apple imitating the PC instead of vice versa.

?

Ctrl-OpenApple-Reset worked at least on the Apple ][, if not the Apple I. The Apple ][ was released in 1977. The IBM-PC was released in 1981.

False. Ctrl-OpenApple-Reset worked on the //e (1982) and later. The Apple ][ and Apple ][+
just had a reset key.

Hmmm... Me too.

[edit] actually... when I think really really hard (maybe hypnosis would help) I remember that reset switch having an extra rigid spring - making it hard to accidentally press the reset switch. And I do seem to remember it being just a one-button reset.[/edit]

BTW - ran across this site: http://www.apple-history.com/. Man that's is a trip down memory lane. I can still vividy remember the sound of that Macintosh 512k keyboard and mouse. *sproing!!*

Also, I like how they have a link to hide/show the performas in the list.
