Wow. I was getting concerned that the stalemate would just continue indefinitely.

Aww, I was looking forward to the news channel's reporting of a good nuke strike.

"Breaking news arriving here this evening... reports are coming in that a missile with a nuclear warhead is headed for London... here's our political correspodent... I'm sorry we have lost our link there... hang on, do you hear a rumbling noise?...."

Don't hold your breath. They've promised this before (after denying they even had a program). I hope it's true, jI just don't trust them.

EDIT: Similar talks out of Iran. link.

Kim Jong Il: Hans Brix? Oh no! Oh, herro. Great to see you again, Hans!
Hans Blix: Mr. Il, I was supposed to be allowed to inspect your palace today, but your guards won't let me enter certain areas.
Kim Jong Il: Hans, Hans, Hans! We've been frew this a dozen times. I don't have any weapons of mass destwuction, OK Hans?
Hans Blix: Then let me look around, so I can ease the UN's collective mind. I'm sorry, but the UN must be firm with you. Let me in, or else.
Kim Jong Il: Or else what?
Hans Blix: Or else we will be very angry with you... and we will write you a letter, telling you how angry we are.
Kim Jong Il: OK, Hans. I'll show you. Stand to your reft.
Hans Blix: [Moves to the left]
Kim Jong Il: A rittle more.
Hans Blix: [Moves to the left again]
Kim Jong Il: Good.
[Opens up trap, Hans falls in]

Speaking of North Korea... Does anyone know how much 6,366 North Korean Won is worth? I have that much in North Koran notes (assuming they're not fake).

So they want us to send over some atomic stuff before the consider disarming their program? I'm sure we could work something out... I bet our submaries are in the area anyway.

I have to admit, this dude is the perfect "Super Villian" we have in real life. He's so crazy it's almost comical.

There are two answers to that. The official answer is "USD 2,893". The real answer is "nada, unless you happen to be in downtown PyongYang with time to spare, and you also managed to bring the notes in to the country without DPRK customs and immigration confiscating them".

I figured that. I think it's definitely cool to have though. The bills are really pretty and a strange thing to have. The ones I have are the non-tourist notes BTW.

Of course there's a third answer, which is "how many won would you be offered if you stood up in PyongYang offering to change USD 3,000". That's probably more like 6 million won. Which is not quite enough to bribe your way out of the one-way trip to the re-education gulags that would surely follow your unlicensed currency trading activities.
