As some may remember, my Rockford Fosgate Power 750x recently died on me. I'm in the process of trouble shooting it with the guidance of Ross Wellington.

In the mean time, I borrowed an amp from a friend that he's not using at the moment. I finally got around to installing it today and now find that one of my speakers isn't working. I only hooked up the front two channels, as I'm using a two channel amp. The speakers in question are JL Audio XR650 CSi. I have the tweeter mounted in the dash, and the woofer and x-over mounted in the door. When powered up, the left channel only has sound coming from the tweeter; nothing from the woofer.

Tomorrow I guess I'm going to take the door apart and try to determine what's going on and which component needs to be replaced. There's always the chance that I wire has come loose, but with the amplifier committing suicide, I'm more apt to think that it took out a component at the same time.

Any thoughts? Anyone had to get service/parts from JL Audio before?

Cheers
